Finishing links

I’ve been thinking for a while now to have a page set up on my blog dedicated to my finishing links! Here goes my list of finishing links and tutorials - there are loads here that others have no doubt already listed, but there may be some other unknown ones:

Different Techniques:

  • Si le point m’etait compte - a few different techniques, including biscornu, cube, heart box, stitchers envelope - in french, but very clear pictures.
  • Anne D’s blog - includes a stitcher’s bourse, scissor fob, needlebook and more - in french, but very clear pictures.
  • Just A Thought (Judy Odell) - cording and tassels, tin finishing instructions, and embellishment ideas.
  • PCB Dijon - Covered book, tote bag, concertina folder - again in french, found under the section “Ateliers”.
  • Treasured Tapestries - Quilted wallhanging, fringed stuffed pillow etc.
  • Cyberstitchers.com - cording, filled pillow, bookmark, etc.
  • CameoRoze - bellpull hardware, needleroll, ornaments etc
  • ABC cross stitch - loads of project ideas
  • JeBrode.com - loads of finishing ideas and projects
  • Dani…Black Belt Stitching Wizard - a few different finishing techniques
  • Aiguilles & Passion - some different finishing ideas (in french)
  • Atelier le Fil en Scene - in french, with clickable piccies
  • Sa Kartonn - links to French blogs which have tutorials on a wide range of finishing methods. NB: the links all go to the main blog page for each person, so you’ll have to dig around a bit for the tutorials *NEW*
  • Nela’s blog (Spanish) - lots of tutorial links here and here *NEW*

Anne, Vonna has just published a great tutorial for finishing tins: http://thetwistedstitcher.blogspot.com/2007/01/im-humbled.html which would definitely be worth adding to your list :) (Not sure if the link is working at the minute, I think Blogger’s playing up…again!)

I found your site while looking for finishings and I am really excited about what I found here. I found almost everything I was looking for! Thanks for the instructions even though some are not in English but the photographs are great and easy to following. I am sure I will be back very often.

I have just saved those needleroll instructions, ready to print off a copy. Judith’s are so easy to follow - I am a lot more confident now about having a go at making one of these delightful little nick-nacks! Remember when I saw all yours, I was lost for words? I’m not going to compete with you - LOL!!
